Maybe it's because I have an unusual layout with the right monitor the primary and the left monitor rotated 90 degrees. Also I have then daisy-chained to a single Display Port. [INFO] jgmenu will only follow icon themes in /usr/share/icons

It seems that (unless you symlink) icon themes can only be chosen in jgmenurc (line 48 in Erik's file) if they exist in usr/share/icons

If the theme you want only exists in home/.icons they will not be followed.

If you don't want icons just set icon_size to 0

Re: [OPEN] how to get pywal working in openbox

Eric, you are right - it was just info for the OP.

One more (general) tip for pywal though before this is closed:

Add this code to your bashrc/zshrc to apply its theming to newly opened terminals too:

Code: Select all

(cat ~/.cache/wal/sequences &)

Re: [OPEN] how to get pywal working in openbox

Simply copying the command across into the openbox rc.xml will not work (even if you escape the ampersands properly for xml) because the command will not be executed in a shell (see http://openbox.org/wiki/Help:Actions#Execute). Rather you will need to place the commands in a separate shell script a...
