Re: [OPEN] Canon MG3500 Printer

I agree removing those packages was not smart - had to do with Samba back then and security reflections. Back then it made sense - now not so much anymore The packages from script 150 and its services are now in the package list again. If you build ArcoLinux today you will have no issue with that a...

Re: [SOLVED] Canon MG3500 Printer

Clean install of the latest iso. I ran update first. Then followed tutorial 781. Print test page was a success. Working as advertised and now performing pksyua. Life in ArcoLinux is good again thanks for the cure. Question, why would this script have been removed in the first place, many of us have ...

Re: [OPEN] Canon MG3500 Printer

OK, thanks, I have installed Manjaro on it for now to see what is different and why the printer works on Manjaro and not Arco. I will reinstall AL over the weekend and see if we can sort this out, something is definitely broken in ArcoLinux.

I wonder if you need to run script 150 in ~/.bin/main.

Try that out.

That is what changed on our iso in the past.
No network discovery anymore.
How is that done?

Re: [OPEN] Canon MG3500 Printer

That did not fix it, I feel that it is not being wireless detected. On other arch based operating systems when I ask localhost to find new printers, I am given a selection of 3 to choose from (EVEN PREVIOUS VERSIONS OF ARCOLINUX) and the choice of Canon-MG3500-series_D8-49-2F-AE-EB-4C was never the ...

Re: [OPEN] Canon MG3500 Printer

I just did yet another clean install, update and pksyua then attempted to install the wireless printer from both localhost:631 and the printer manager, and both did not see the printer. Trizen mg3500 to install the drivers, and now localhost:631 sees "Canon-MG3500-series_D8-49-2F-AE-EB-4C-1 " and a ...

[SOLVED] Canon MG3500 Printer

I just want to report that I have just installed 19.1.04 and for the first time can not get the software to talk to the wireless connection of this printer. I have installed 25-30 various versions of ArcoLinux over the last few months and it was allways an easy install, just yaourt mg3500 select opt...

My First Month with ArcoLinux

I just have to say, that from the first surprise that my very windows proprietary HP laptop booted to the install screen, (something no other Linux distro has been able, or yet able to do) the ease of use, and built in apps are all that I ever used in the Mac Windows world. I beta test for SwordSear...
