Re: [SOLVED] Oblogout on Dual Monitors

I've just done a fresh install following the Arch Way, and using Arco Xmonad spices.

I haven't set up my xmonad.hs to support dual monitors yet, but will share code when I do.

Re: [SOLVED] Oblogout on Dual Monitors

Thanks for the tips, but unfortunately that isn't working on my machine.
Even after modifying for the screen resolution of my monitor, and using it's name (VGA1).

After reboot, I didn't have any Oblout icons, and it pushed some of the compton icons off the screen ( v6.2 ).

Re: Oblogout on Dual Monitors

I had a look at the Oblogout repository on GitHub and the config options settings seem to be determined by the underlying code. So, short of making a successful pull request, there isn't anything more to be done about this issue. It's not a huge deal. If the icons are partially off screen, and I can...

Re: Oblogout on Dual Monitors

Read this while trying to find the secrets of .conf files ( standard commands / syntax ). It's from an IBM developer website : Is there a standard configuration file format in Linux? In a word, no . Users who are new to Linux (rightly) feel frustrated that each configuration file looks like a new ch...

[SOLVED] Oblogout on Dual Monitors

I can't figure out how to display Oblogout on one monitor only ( in a dual monitor setting ). The ArchWiki offers a solution ( section: Dual Head ) but it involves XML; I don't see how that is going to work in bspwm. Looking at oblogout.conf - is there a way to set position? Not sure. Maybe the rule...

Re: [INFO] Great AUR Helpers for ArchMerge

re: Packer ( AUR helper ); it appears to be "stalled", not functioning, and most confusingly, a new product by Hashicorp that does something, I'm not sure what...but it's nothing to do with the AUR. IMHO, the reference to it in this post about polybar potentially sends the viewer on a goose chase ( ...

Re: [OPEN] autologin screen blank

I think this whole issue has been the result of a mistake on my part; assuming that autologin wasn't working correctly. The blank screen I referred to doesn't actually require me to type in my user name, I was doing so as a habit from the first install when I, impatiently and mistakenly, assumed arc...

Re: [SOLVED] autologin screen blank

This seems like a good opportunity for me to get a better understanding of git diffs. I'm not sure what I commented out, and there are so many options in that package. ... It was in 300-software-AUR-repo; the package, paper-icon-themes, causes the script to loop and crash. Now I guess I'll learn abo...

Re: [OPEN] autologin screen blank

We have packages to show us the lightdm manager on ArcoLinux and have a great login screen. The standard lightdm is there but you need to install minimum 2 elements sudo pacman -S lightdm lightdm-gtk-greeter or sudo pacman -S lightdm lightdm-gtk-greeter lightdm-gtk-greeter-settings I have all of th...
