Re: [OPEN] Waiting 30 seconds for device /dev/disk/by-label/

Sorry, this doesn't help anyone maybe, just wanted to say that this still happens. Got the same error yesterday when trying to install ArcoB Bspwm v20.3.3 on my ThinkPad T440p. It came with Windows 10, so i used Rufus to make a bootable stick. Switched to Etcher then and it did the trick. So, that w...

Ubuntu 20.04 new folder icon theme in Bspwm

Ubuntu's new folder icon theme looks preeeeetty awesome in my Bspwm too IMO. The file manager in the pic is Nautilus. Not the fastest or the most minimalist file manager for the tiling WMs i guess, but it looks so nice, i just have to use it. :P https://scrot.cloud/images/2020/02/12/ArcoLinux_2020-0...

Re: [QUESTION] What was your first linux distro, and first Arch(-based)?

The first one for me was Ubuntu 8.04 in 2008, and it was good enough experience that i basically didn't look back after that. Once in a while i try Windows just to check what's going on in that world, but it's been 99,72% Linux since 2008. I think the first Arch based distro was Antergos, maybe 2016...

Re: [OPEN] Calamares crashes when selected extra packages to install

Ok, just reinstalled Arco, selected AMD-Ucode package to install and there was no problems with Calamares. Must've been something in my end yesterday, who knows. I used different USB stick, but other than that everything was identical.

Thanks for telling us.

Can you send us an image next time of what you do and what hardware you have?

We have installed it over 100 times without crash.

So we need to see that image to know more.
Sure, i'll try to remember that.

[SOLVED] Calamares crashes when selected extra packages to install

Calamares seems to crash if i select extra packages (AMD-Ucode in this case) to install. Worked fine when no extra packages were selected. Not a problem really, just wanted to inform you guys. Latest (January) ArcoLinuxB Bspwm minimal edition. Used Etcher to make a bootable USB. EDIT: Tried it twice...

[CLOSED] Indication of occupied workspaces in tiling window manager panel

Maybe there could be some kind of an indication in the panel (in workspaces icons) to show you that there's something open in certain workspaces? Not the most elegant hack i guess, but i have it like this in my Polybar. I'm on workspace 3 and i've some apps open in workspaces 1 and 2. Blueish backgr...

Re: [OPEN] Invidual settings for the second monitor

So you need to find out if bspwm can say this to the system bspc config top_padding 30 to a particular monitor. I have no idea if it possible. I didn't think so at first, but it is indeed possible after all. In my case, i added this line for the second monitor in my bspwm.rc: bspc config -m HDMI-A-...

[SOLVED] Individual settings for the second monitor on BSPWM

Hey guys. Just a little first world problem with two monitor setup in Bspwm. I've two monitors, the main monitor is 4K and the other one is 1080p. 4K monitor is scaled up, so everything looked obviously too big in 1080p. I solved that by putting this command to autostart: $ xrandr --output eDP-1 --a...
