Re: [OPEN]Cannot BYOI - no such file or directory

Building an ArcoLinuxB iso on manjaro won't work. Because manjaro doesn't have the archiso package (which is needed to build the iso) in their repos. Plus the arcolinux repos would have to be installed as well. you need to build it from any arcolinux or archlinux installation. If you pick archlinux,...

Re: [OPEN] Constant freezing and segmentation faults

I noticed you mentioned the caps lock led flashing. With an HP Envy laptop this usually indicates a hardware failure. Most of the time it's signaling the cpu is overheating or a battery problem. If it's a laptop you can try removing the battery and run only on ac power and see if it persists. and mo...

Re: [OPEN] ArcoLinux Installer does not detect SSD drive

What I would do is the following, before I would assume the brand of nvme drive is not supported by linux 1. Check which version your bios is 2. Goto HP support page and make sure you have the latest bios. If not flash it in windows 3. Make sure secure boot is turned off in the bios. 4. If there was...

Re: [OPEN] ArcoLinux Installer does not detect SSD drive

Just go to my pc, right click on your SSD and click properties, then the hardware tab. it should give you the name. Like the screenshot I provided below.

as you can see mine is a Samsung 860 EVO

Re: [OPEN] ArcoLinux Installer does not detect SSD drive

The only 2 things I can think of: 1. The way HP partitioned the drive in the first place. They have hidden restore partitions and stuff on it. Could be why Linux don't recognize it 2. The SSD drive is not supported by linux do you know what kind of SSD it is? You should be able to get that info in t...

Re: [OPEN] ArcoLinux Installer does not detect SSD drive

I have a HP envy Laptop. since there is 2 drives. Turn off legacy boot, and turn off secure boot in the bios. make sure both drives have a gpt partition table. You will have to use EFI for these drives. If you use legacy, it will either only show one drive, or one of the drives won't be bootable. Th...

Re: Manjaro Kernel Manager for ArcoLinux?

We are not Manjaro. Arch will give us the latest kernel. But you will always have the opportunity to install the LTS.
