if you check /etc/oblogout.conf at the bottom make sure for bspwm the logout line says logout = pkill bspwm script 920 changes that line from the openbox logout to bspwm Furthermore, you can't run oblogout on multiple desktops. Just so I understand, what is going on here,

I take it, you installed xfce and using awesome as the "wm" instead of xfce4 "wm", sorta like a hybrid, minus the xfce4 panel correct?

if it's bash you are using, first you would have to install the powerline fonts. sudo pacman -S powerline powerline-fonts then add something like this to your .bashrc powerline-daemon -q POWERLINE_BASH_CONTINUATION=1 POWERLINE_BASH_SELECT=1 . /usr/lib/python3.6/site-packages/powerline/bindings/bash/...

For now I would just install geany...because the instructions below work, however I was not able to find a good way to launch atom with root privileges. so some pipemenus that require a password to edit them, may not function with atom. I will speak to Erik about this issue. It might work if you do ...

Did you run the last command as sudo?

you might want to try with the linux-lts kernel, as kernel 4.15 changed the way it makes calls to the bios. could have broken it.

This is hard to figure out, since it's hardware specific, and I don't have the same hardware.
