I experience the same problem: live system boots, gets into "graphical mode" (tty2-6 are accessible, but) then after a few seconds it shuts down.

I obtained an arcolinux iso ( https://sourceforge.net/projects/arcoli ... o/download ) and flashed it to a pen drive.

Installation worked smoothly on another PC (old workstation, no EFI, NVidia Quadro with nouveau), so the iso download was fine.
On that workstation, I saw a boot menu that contained three (or more) options for the live system: default, nouveau, radeon; the menu was rather graphical with the arcolinux logo.

Then I try the same install medium on my latpop (specifications below).
Possible relevant differences:
- EFI enabled
- different GPU
Probably due to that EFI stuff (which I don't understand and don't like), a different boot loader appears when booting the flash drive. It is less graphical and has fewer options.

Igot a video and here are console prints just before shut down.

Any help is appreciated! Otherwise I'll install debian. (kidding ;) )

Cheers,

Falk

Try to call the boot menu and select the "correct" media in it.
My goal is a Linux laptop no worse than a MacBook.
