Give us a picture of the content of your ~/.config/neofetch folder

If you do

Code: Select all

sudo pacman -Syyu
sudo pacman -S arcolinux-neofetch-git
Now it can not be out of date.

By the way I already see you have the latest code. It must be something else.

Did you delete ~/.config/neofetch/config file like it is mentioned in the article on the website mentioned above?

Because command I have already done yesterday, yes I deleted the file and inserted, nothing helps, because in the folder file »/etc/skel/.config/neofetch/config.conf is not updated, that is the problem, the file remains always the old one

Code: Select all

Another idea pops in my head

Copy/paste this code into the config.conf file

https://raw.githubusercontent.com/arcol ... onfig.conf

Check if you have w3m and imagemagick installed.

This is my working code

Code: Select all

# Image backend.

# Default: 'ascii'
# Values: 'ascii', 'caca', 'jp2a', 'iterm2', 'off', 'termpix', 'pixterm', 'tycat', 'w3m'
# Flag: --backend

# Choose next line to have ascii - do not forget to hashtag out the image_source 10 lines down
#image_backend="ascii"

# Choose next line to have the logo - do not forget to delete the hashtag of one of the image_sources 10 lines down
image_backend="w3m"

#
# Which image or ascii file to display.
#
# Default: 'auto'
# Values: 'auto', 'ascii', 'wallpaper', '/path/to/img', '/path/to/ascii', '/path/to/dir/'
# Flag: --source
#
# NOTE: 'auto' will pick the best image source for whatever image backend is used.

You are an enigma
Double check this has an hashtag

#image_backend="ascii"

Did you copy/paste from the github?

Re: [SOLVED] neofetch - update error

Indeed
a mistake in the config

put a hashtag before this line like so

Code: Select all

#image_source=$HOME/".config/neofetch/arcolinux-white.png"
Learn, have fun and enjoy.
But first use the power of the Arch Wiki
use the tutorials on https://www.youtube.com/erikdubois
then use the power of google
then use the power of our moderators.
