[SOLVED] Rendering of glyphs on terminal and on i3blocks

Post by viniciusxp »

Hi,

I am facing an strange issue: on i3blocks and on terminal apps (xterm/urxvt/xface terminal) all my characters will show ok, but all glyphs will show huge!

I'd like to know where is the setting that controls such font size, and why it is different for "standard" characters and glyphs.

Here is an example when I copy in the terminal the glyph 👌 :

Any help on how to find the culprit?

Thanks in advance!

I have never done what you try to do.
Like to help but do not quite get it.

I got this in xfce4-terminal with copy paste of your hand

Hi,

I found that the culprit was a font called emojione. Used a variant, emojione-color and now glyphs are ok again.

I’ve done a few tests around Arco and I am running it on my work machine. The defaults are great but I am trying to customize and later reduce the footprint to a minimum.

Great work, by the way. I’m learning a lot on the go.
