FOR ANYONE ELSE READING THIS. IF YOU HAVE INSTALLED
ARCHMERGE OR ARCHMERGED FROM THE ISO THEN YOU ARE JUST FINE.
THIS ONLY APPLIES PEOPLE STARTING WITH PHASE 4. THE ARCH WAY.

Hi

Thanks for coming to the forum and not staying on youtube.
I deleted our conversation there - I like a clean youtube channel

Let us start again.

We have been looking into this ourselves. At some point we want to go to phase 4 and do an Arch way installation.
We would like to keep working with our repo obviously.

As a matter of fact you may help us to get some insight.

Try this in your terminal

Code: Select all

gpg --recv-keys 74F5DE85A506BF64
and these lines to your pacman.conf

Code: Select all

[archmergelinux_repo]
SigLevel = Required DatabaseOptional
Server = https://archmergelinux.github.io/archmerge_repo/$arch
Tell us what happens.
Screenshots are appreciated. Host them on imgur or elsewhere as long as we can read it.
Learn, have fun and enjoy.

To add the key you need to use the following commands:

Code: Select all

sudo pacman-key -r 74F5DE85A506BF64
sudo pacman-key -f 74F5DE85A506BF64
sudo pacman-key --lsign-key 74F5DE85A506BF64
Once the key has been added and pacman.conf updated you will be able to install packages from the ArchMerge repo.

I have noticed that you need to install "xfce-slimlock" from the AUR first before you can install"archmerge-slimlock-themes-git" from the ArchMerge repo. I guess pacman/pamac cannot automatically install "xfce-slimlock" as it comes from the AUR. (I didn't try installing it with yaourt)

I'm happy for this to be closed but I'm not the original poster.

At a later date I got all error messages from gpg.

I renamed (can be deleted) the /etc/pacman.d/gnupg folder and reinstalled the keyrings with the following commands

Code: Select all

sudo pacman-key --init
sudo pacman-key --populate archlinux arcolinux
sudo pacman-key -f 74F5DE85A506BF64
sudo pacman-key --lsign-key 74F5DE85A506BF64

Due my provider or due to my router I have to do some extra settings to get the key from the keyservers.

Edit the file /etc/pacman.d/gnupg/gpg.conf

and add this line

Code: Select all

keyserver hkp://pool.sks-keyservers.net:80
Then you can ask to receive the key again with

Code: Select all

sudo pacman-key -r 74F5DE85A506BF64
sudo pacman-key -f 74F5DE85A506BF64
