I have an old laptop, Asus F3J series.
I have installed Manjaro i3 before and worked perfectly well but found it a little bloated so i have installed the newest of ArcolinuxB with i3 minimal but this one on the USB, having keyboard problems like hitting 'o' returns as '6'. Also buttons on touchpad works but tapping to touchpad not working.

I have tried to install arch but also getting problems on connecting with wifi.

So i know that it is not related with hardware but software.

The buttons is the num lock being ON

put

numlock off in your ~/.bashrc

you have a laptop with no separate numeric keypad

It would be hard since i cant type 'o' in that num lock off. I'm seeing this as an issue needs to be solved since even the Arch installation, i didnt encountered such problem.

I will try your way, gonna try editting.

I'm sorry but i cannot even able to configure the file with this present keyboard layout. I have installed many different distros to test and the arch itself yet never encountered such error. If there is no fix or other suggestions, i will drop using this. Last one i tried was today ArcolinuxD and open still problem was on, as i mentioned, even opening a terminal, cannot input command as i tried ls, l was 3. Not telling about nano or other and have no idea other than using an external keyboard, and i'm not prefer that method since that means additional hardware for installing and OS.

I am guessing you are using one of these small laptops.

Your numeric keypad is NOT separate but it is together with your keys.

Test this if you are still willing

sudo nano /etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf

and put a "#" before the line with
numlockx on

and reboot.

No keypad on the laptop, yes.

But that sudo and nano...with the o's and other relevant letters, cannot use.
