I also have an older MacBook Pro, but a slightly different vintage (MacBookPro 8,2) than yours. Whenever I've had display issues with iso's, guidance from the Arch Wiki have fixed the issue.

Have you taken a look at this page (assuming it's the correct model), under the Video section at the bottom?
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/MacBookPro7,1

Hope that helps.

Hi Eric,

I think you and your team are doing a FANTASTIC job with ArcoLinux! I'm a recent Linux user, and I've learned a ton from people like yourself (through books, podcasts, wikis, forums, etc.). Many thanks for sharing all your knowledge, especially your videos explaining how things work and suggestions on different packages/programs. I'm currently experimenting with KDE, OpenBox, and bspwm across 3 Arch-based distros (ArcoLinux is one of them). Again, you and the ArcoLinux's team are simply incredible. Please keep on going.

All the best,

If you are on other distro's and see something we should have, do not hesitate to give the suggestions.

Hi Eric,

Thank you for being open to suggestions. I will let you know if I have any. One of the things that I like about the ArcoLinux is its learning approach and acknowledgement that you can/should customize things to match one's preferences. It's great to see so many desktop as well.
