[CLOSED] Moving to an new computer

Post by ropetti » Sat Mar 21, 2020 1:02 pm

Hi,
I tried moving my ArcoLinux installation to a new laptop and simply swapped the ssd. When booting I receive the error message "Invalid partition table!". After pressing a key the system boots up. Unfortunately I did not find a way to fix that. Do you have any idea?
Kind regards
ropetti

You wanted to spare some time.
Would take to long to help you - and not sure IF I can help you.

Do a clean install and keep your old ssd as backup and to get your data.
Learn, have fun and enjoy.
But first use the power of the Arch Wiki
use the tutorials on https://www.youtube.com/erikdubois
then use the power of google
then use the power of our moderators.

Hi Eric,
thank you very much for your quick answer. I found out I had problems concerning the new computer and its efi settings on which problems continued despite an installation from scratch. I'll simply continue with my old machine.
Kind regards
Rolf
