[SOLVED] Volume increase/decrease on ArcoLinuxB Bspwm

Post by eesau » Mon Jan 21, 2019 10:07 am

Hi

When i adjust the volume with my keyboard it goes up or down 10% in every press. It's too much, is there a way to change that?

Also my chosen wallpaper (Nitrogen) doesn't stick, it changes back to some other in every reboot. That image isn't in system backgrounds. I've uninstalled Variety and deleted all the config files, so the problem isn't there i guess. Is it maybe some other program that controls the wallpaper?

Can you make a separate post about the wallpaper changing?

I will answer the volume here

Here is the solutions to your 2 issues.

1. wallpaper. go into your ~/.config/bspwm/autostart.sh, put a hashtag in front of line 22 which is feh --bg-scale ~/.config/bspwm/wall.png &
and take out the hashtag in front of line 39 which is nitrogen --restore & then you can use nitrogen

2. volume in 10% increments. -go into ~/.config/sxhkd at line 336 amixer set Master 10%+ and line 340 amixer set Master 10%- change the % to whatever number you would like.
