You need a policy kit to step in and ask the root password

Code: Select all

https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Polkit
We use e.g. this line in the i3 config to get it started

Code: Select all

exec --no-startup-id /usr/lib/polkit-gnome/polkit-gnome-authentication-agent-1 &
Learn, have fun and enjoy.
But first use the power of the Arch Wiki
use the tutorials on https://www.youtube.com/erikdubois
then use the power of google
then use the power of our moderators.
