[SOLVED] Icons in terminal

I have installed icons-in-terminal from https://github.com/sebastiencs/icons-in-terminal and just cannot get this to work. I have edited the .json to add my font and also edited the 30-icons.conf file. Has anyone done this before or can point me in another direction to get icons to print out in the terminal?

Come to find out the symbols just were showing up when using urxvt. I tried termite and everything is working. Go Figure.......
